Succeeding within the music trade takes greater than reading books about it. There comes a time when you must get in there and begin throwing elbows. Students will independently plan and produce a portfolio of works related to their profession interest that builds on key data and expertise acquired during the course of study. Twenty-one hours of approved coursework is required to complete the Music Business Certificates. In courses taught by experienced trade professionals, college students will concentrate on a variety of industry sectors equivalent to management, advertising, entrepreneurship, publishing and licensing, record and live performance promotion, new media, music merchandise, and humanities administration.
