Telephoning the Dead
Christopher Moon started the show off giving a background of how he become interested in the paranormal. He began ghost hunting, back when paranormal investigations where considered taboo, while touring with ser val of the rock bands that he played in. His equipment consisted of 35mm cameras and camcorder that took VHS tapes. He later went on to found Haunted Times Magazine with his fathers.
Getting into the "Telephone to the Dead", Chris explained it as being a two way communication device for talking to the other side. It is ultimately based on the ideas of Thomas Edison and the device is considered to be the finished product of what Edison was building. It was also compared to the Spiricom device that was built in 1979 by George Meek and Bill O' Neil.
Spirits that talked through the "Telephone to the Dead" were different in many aspects. Some claimed to have never even lived on earth. Some were technicians and help Chris use and tweak the device. The quality of the voices coming through the device were not perfect but understandable. Chris shared a few clips with us to show what the device sounds like and gave description of how it works.
