Mothman

Host, narrator, producer, researcher, and writer for Dark Wings: The Mothman Chronicle, Travis Shortt joined the show. Travis along with Charles McCracken and Matthew Fleming have brought together research and witness accounts in this full length documentary of this legendary creature.

The Mothman is recorded as first being sighted by Lonnie Sutton on November 12, 1966 near Clendenin, West Virginia but wasn't reported until later. 3 days later 2 couples witnessed the Mothman about 7 miles north of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. They claimed that the creature chased them while they speed away at speeds in excess of 100mph. Many sightings have been reported ever since with alarmingly similar descriptions of the creature.

Travis discussed some of the sighting of the Mothman through out Point Pleasant and how all seemed very similar especially descriptions of red eyes. He said the sightings seemed to have happened over a 5 county spread and that there have been some elsewhere in the US and Canada.

Travis gave some of the theories of what this creature may be, like a demonic entity.

Travis gave some inside information in to the difficulties of making the documentary. He said on of the biggest obstacles was getting people who have seen the Mothman to talk about it. The documentary is due out sometime this fall.
