Florida's Jaguarundi Sightings
Even though Jaguarundi is known to exist, it's not suppose to be in Florida. The leading expert in Florida's Jaguarundi sightings is Lisa Wojcik and she joined us to talk about her research and findings with the Florida's Jaguarundi Project.
Lisa started out the show by defining Cryptozoology. She also gave us the 5 classes which help in categorizing if an animal is a crypto or belongs to zoology. Lisa explained why the Jaguarundi is considered a cryptid even though it is knows to exist.
Lisa has put together 3 theories on how and why the Jaguarundi has ended up in Florida. Her goal is to prove that they come on their own accord so the state has to protect them. If evidence shows that they were introduced to the state, they will be exterminated.
The chat room was up and going and providing some very good questions on migrations patterns and skeletal remains. We were also joined by one caller, Tracie, who wanted to express that she had lived in Florida most her life but had never heard of or seen the Jaguarundi.
