Haunted Wilkesboro, NC

Wilkesboro, NC has it's fair share of haunted tales as discussed by Wilkesboro native RG Absher. RG has collected Wilkesboro's tales of ghostly encounters for the past couple of years. Jeremiah shared some of the EVPs from an investigation done at the Old Wilkes Jail.

Many of the haunted locations talked about included; the Old Wilkes Jail, Benton Hall, Smithy Hotel, the Old English Cottage and many more.

Wilkesboro is also known best for it's role in the story of the murder of Laura Foster. At the first of the show RG shares how Tom Dula, convicted and hanged for Laura's murder, was incarcerated in the Old Wilkes Jail before being moved to Statesville, NC.

RG also told us about his ghost tour that walks the haunted sites of Wilkesboro as well as his book showcasing these locations which is expected out near the end of the year.
